A hurricane crossing the coast today.
Scientists say Typhoon Yass has made landfall in the Bay of Bengal and will cross the coast this afternoon.
At that time, winds of 185 km per hour were forecast in the area south of Balasore in Odisha.
A second alert was issued at Visakhapatnam, Gangavaram, Kakinada, Machilipatnam, Nizampatnam and Krishnapatnam ports in AP.
