Thadepalli: Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has said that the government will bear the crop insurance without burdening the farmers. He said that the welfare of the farmer is the welfare of the state.
"We have spent over Rs 83,000 crore on farmers in 23 months," he said. The state government has released compensation of Rs 1,820.23 crore in the accounts of 15.15 lakh eligible farmers for the kharif-2020 season under the Vyssar Free Crop Insurance Scheme. On Tuesday, from the CM's office in Tadepalli, Guntur district, CM YS Jaganmohan Reddy pressed a computer button and deposited free crop insurance cash into farmers' accounts. CM YS Jagan spoke on the occasion.
